My bodywork training began in 1986 in Central America, where I lived for several years (se habla espanol). I hold a NYS massage license since 1991, certification in yoga therapy, and I served on the Ethics Committee of the U.S. Association for Body Psychotherapy during its first four years.
I’ve explored countless body-oriented approaches: yoga, Pilates, BodyMind Centering, and more, particularly adopting the ways of Polarity energy and biodynamic craniosacral work. A big fan of participatory athletics, I officiated high school field hockey, professionally, for eight years. I now practice at Glen Cove Massage, and at the Bay Shore Holistic Health Clinic. Also, I volunteer with Hospice Care Network, working with dying people and their caregivers since 2009; and at the Northport Veterans Administration’s Residence since spring 2012.
Also a professional harpist since 1988, I bring a musician’s aesthetic to the practice of bodywork. Visit my harpist website at www.newyorkharpist.com.
I’ve also been a horse farmer for several decades. See what that’s about at www.facebook.com/BigRiverBarn.
